Is my financial contribution tax deductible?

Yes! The Shallowater Education Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization, meaning all of your contributions are tax deductible.

What schools do you help?

The Shallowater Education Foundation supports all grade levels, programs, teachers and students of the Shallowater Independent School District, located in Shallowater, Texas.

Do you help students?

Absolutely! We offer direct scholarships to graduating seniors. Of course, all of our support helps students in some form, including those that assist educators in the district.

How do you support teachers in the district?

The Shallowater Education Foundation sets aside dollars each year to fund educator grants, which have several forms. We believe in supporting our teachers!

Do you accept gifts-in-kind donations?

We'd be glad to visit with you about any innovative ways to support the Foundation, including gifts in kind. Please feel free to contact us at any time.

Who governs the organization?

The Foundation is overseen by our Board of Directors, whose members are committed to serving the organization, and who collectively follow a carefully thought-out set of bylaws and guidelines. Also see next question.

Our Board of Directors is comprised of members of the Shallowater community, including parents. The Board maintains strong coordination and communication with administrators in the school district. Feel free to learn more about our Board.
