What is an Education Foundation?
An education foundation is a wonderful addition to the teaching and learning programs of a community. In our case, the Shallowater Education Foundation benefits our school district by providing educational programs much needed resources that aren’t funded through taxes. Our district’s Education Foundation is an independent, non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization that provides tax benefits for donors, and funds programs for students. The benefits are much greater than simply raising funds. Our goal to be an effective Education Foundation means attracting involvement and support for our school district from all segments of the community.
