What is an Education Foundation?

Picture
As an Education Foundation, the Shallowater Education Foundation can benefit our
school district by providing much needed resources for innovative, educational
programs that aren’t funded through taxes. Our district’s Education Foundation
is an independent, non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization that
provides tax benefits for donors, and funds programs for students. The benefits
are much greater than simply raising funds. Our goal to be an effective
Education Foundation, means attracting involvement and support for our school
district from all segments of the community.

Goal and Objectives

The Shallowater Education Foundation will achieve its mission by directing resources toward the following goals:

- Strengthen and enrich learning though the support of innovative programs;
- Support additional training and resources for educators of the Shallowater Independent School District;
- Provide additional tools to prepare students for future success;
- Inspire parents and community members to participate with the school system to enrich education;
- And build community support and positive attention for the Shallowater Independent School District

The Shallowater Education Foundation (SEF) is committed to a policy of nondiscrimination and to the provision of equity in its funding of educational programs, services and activities for all students and staff of SISD.

The SEF does not discriminate in its support of  educational programs and activities against qualified individuals on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability, physical, mental, emotional or learning disability, handicap or any other factor provided for by state and federal laws and regulations.
