Prize Stampede
It was a special prize stampede, paying surprise visits to some Shallowater ISD teachers on Tuesday morning.
Accompanied by the Shallowater High School Band Drumline, members of the Shallowater Education Foundation presented 35 educators with mini-grants to fund a variety of innovative projects. Those teachers with winning applications are sharing a total of over $36,000. The Shallowater Education Foundation was started in 2011 and since then community members has raised over $100,000 to give back to the school district.
